The Beach Street Beer Festival takes place on Felixstowe seafront in the summer of 2026.
Beach Street is a good place for a festival. The road runs along the front, close enough to the sea that you can smell it, wide enough that a few hundred people can move around without feeling crowded. When the weather holds — and in Felixstowe in summer it often does — there is nowhere better to spend an afternoon.
The beer
The festival focuses on real ale and craft beer from Suffolk and the surrounding counties. Adnams will be there. So will a handful of smaller breweries that you may not have tried yet — that is part of the point. There is Suffolk cider too, and soft drinks for the drivers and the designated adults.
The range changes each year as new breweries come through. The organisers work hard to keep it interesting rather than just stocking the same taps as every other festival.
The food
Street food traders set up along the road. The usual suspects — burgers, wood-fired pizza, fish and chips — alongside a few things that are harder to find. It is not a food festival, but you will not go hungry.
Live music
There is a stage. Local bands play through the afternoon and into the evening. The music is chosen to work with the setting rather than against it — nothing that requires earplugs, nothing that makes conversation impossible.
Getting there
Beach Street is on the seafront, a short walk from Felixstowe town centre and the railway station. Parking is available on the seafront road and in the town centre car parks.
